The
TravelTow luggage accessory is the greatest innovation to reduce
physical stress and fatigue for travelers since wheels were added to luggage
in the early 1980's. Not only does it require less effort to pull
your luggage, but it allows much better and more comfortable postures
for the back, neck and arm.
As a Physical
Therapist for 25 years, I have seen many patients, family members and
friends with numerous complaints of aches and pain from pulling their
luggage through parking lots, airports, train and bus stations. The
traditional non-movable/stationary handle on rolling luggage places
a lot of stress and strain on the spine and arm resulting in lower back
pain, neck pain, rotator cuff irritation, tennis or
golfer's elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome. Since using the
TravelTow myself and recommending it for my patients, family and friends
to try, I have seen a great reduction in the stress
that produces the previously mentioned musculoskeletal disorders and
their symptoms.

Ergonomics Consultants point of view, I really like the fact that it
reduces the OSHA recognized risk factors of awkward posture and
force. When using the TravelTow it allows you to keep the spine in a
more natural allignment and helps reduce the harmful effect of twisting
of the spine. For the neck, shoulder, elbow and wrist, once again, it
allows all to assume more anatomically correct postures and greatly
reduces the force on these structures as you perform the task of moving
your luggage.
